Quality Control Boosts Efficiency in Multi Campus Facility Management in Nigeria

Abstract

This study examines the impact of quality control on efficient facility operations and maintenance management in multi-campus settings, addressing a significant gap in the literature regarding systematic quality control practices in educational institutions. A survey design was employed, utilizing a questionnaire administered to 89 staff members selected from a total population of 114 using the Taro Yamane formula. The research aimed to determine the effects of quality inspection, testing, repairs, and replacement on facility operations and maintenance. Descriptive statistics answered the research questions, while regression analysis tested the hypotheses. Results indicate that all four aspects of quality control significantly enhance facility operations and maintenance efficiency. The study recommends implementing comprehensive policies for quality control, monitoring, inspection, replacement, and repairs to ensure optimal facility management.
